Before The Event
This team was coached by top German coach Harry Koerner. Bringing together some really top dance couples from the Southland and two couples from the BYU team prepared for the event to be held in Bremen, Germany. Lots of work went in to getting a third place at the World Championships. From Summer rehearsals, costume making, fittings, decorations, the long flight, dry runs, and dress rehearsals. The night of the competition, team meal, makeup, and warm-ups.
Below is the only performance or rehearsal that we have been able to locate with music. As you can see these old videos are deteriorating pretty quickly so if you have ANY, please do allow us to rescue them.
The Competition
The event opens with the parade of teams into the arena. For some of these kids, the biggest audience they ever performed for was in the hundreds. Tonight it will be thousands. The audience will be cheering for the hometown favorites. In Germany almost every major city has a formation team.
